1968 Francis McCarthy Vase with Nudes. Measures – 8 1/2″ tall and 5 1/2″ in diameter. Condition – Great shape with no chips, cracks or crazing. The surface is glossy and there is camera glare in my pictures that appears as white or blue spots. Please do not confuse this with loss or damage. McCarthy studied at the Philadelphia College of Art, Barnes Foundation, Grand Chaumiere (Paris, France), and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Francis McCarthy was an instructor of adults and children at the Fleisher Art Memorial for fifty-one years from 1953 until just prior to the start of the Fall 2004 semester. His work is in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the National Gallery, Washington, DC; the Barnes Foundation, and others. Please read the following.
