Geoffrey Eastop Aldermaston Studio Pottery Lidded Chicken Decoration Pot 33cm. Made whilst at Aldermaston pottery this is a significant work and rare survivor given its size and form – being at last 65 years of age. With a wonderful decoration to the lid and base and rather a rare large chicken design to the lid. In fabulous condition with no chips or cracks. Approx 13 inches diamater and 4 inches tall. A significant work by the potter and would make a fabulous centrepiece for a collection of his work.

The vase of tall cylindrical shape has a slightly narrowing upper body and has potters impressed seal marks along with Avoncroft Pottery marks to the lower rim.
