Leach standard ware 1 pint tankard. Though this tankard was made at the Leach pottery and bears the clear mark associated with that pottery started by Bernard Leach it was almost certainly not made by Bernard Leach and was made by one of the many potters who worked there from 1920 through to 1978 when Bernard Leach passed away. Pictured at number 39. 10 cms diameter across its base. It has no cracks, chips or restoration. Leach Pottery St Ives cup and saucer tenmoku glaze #278. Cup and saucer which are not part of the Leach Standard ware range in the catalogues dated 1946, 1952 or 1976. It is possible that these were made prior to 1946 and then discontinued or as a result of a commission. Both cup and saucer have the impressed Leach St Ives mark but no personal mark to identify the individual potter. There are two tiny flea bites on the rim of the cup and some slight wearing where the cup sits into the saucer but other than that it is in good condition. Leach studio pottery Vase. The vase is a cut sided vase with 13 sides. It is stoneware with a very clear Leach pottery mark. It weighs 3128 grams and measures 23 cms in height and 19 cms in’diameter’. There is no way of conclusively identifying who made the vase other than to say it was made by someone at the Leach studio. It has never featured as standard ware in any of the old catalogues but it would appear that the Leach pottery has been producing these biscuit barrels in different sizes with different glazes. Different coloured glazes are used. The vase has no cracks, chips or restoration but there are some minor firing faults caused by either glaze bubbles or small particles in the clay. I have photographed the ones I can see but in reality it is in good condition. Leach Pottery Decorated Vase #454. This vase has the impressed Leach St Ives pottery mark but no makers mark. There is an impressed mark at the side of the Leach mark but is filled with glaze and unreadable. I have valued it as a piece of unattributed Leach pottery. It is not Leach standard ware but without a readable mark it is as yet unidentified. 10 cm at its widest diameter.
