A striking vintage British studio pottery vase in a deep cobalt blue glaze, dating from around the 1930s-1940s. Hand-thrown with a rounded shoulder and flared rim, the vase shows visible throwing rings and attractive tonal variation in the glaze. The style, glaze and proportions are similar to the work of Leslie Brennan, active in Britain in the 1920s-40s, though the piece is unmarked, so attribution is not confirmed. A very handsome example of early 20th-century British art pottery, perfect for collectors or interior display.
