Monumental 56cm Blandine Anderson Studio Pottery Hare & Snail Sculpture. A very large, stunning stoneware sculpture by the renowned artist Blandine Anderson. Modelled with a hare sat on top of a giant snail, set on a rectangular base incised with branches, insects and applied small smalls. Blandine Anderson finds inspiration for her work in the landscape of her immediate surroundings in North Devon. She combines different forms of wildlife with environment in sensitive and delightful ways. She works at differing scales in stoneware and porcelain, to allow her sculpture to capture both the broad sweep of ploughed fields and the minutiae of the hedgerows. Very large – Measures approx. Very Nice Signed Art Pottery Vase. This features a rustic reddish brown on the with a sandy texture and the Pi sign on the front. The symbol was brushed through the gritty texture to the reddish color underneath. The interior has an oxidized finish. On the underside is the signature and date: Anderson 2004. Wide rim to rim. Beautiful “Bunny” rabbit vase by talented ceramic artist Judy Anderson of Dragonfly Guild Studio. This lovingly charming vase features a bunny rabbit sitting amongst flowers done in the ancient sgraffito technique where the artist skillfully hand-carves the design onto leather-hard clay. BIOGRAPHY Dan Anderson recently retired as Head of Ceramics at the Department of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois. Dan Anderson has taught at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville for the past 32 years, pouring his heart and soul into the ceramics program, bringing it up to the well-known program it is today.
