A stunning, early piece of handmade British studio art glass by the renowned Okra Glassworks, founded by master glassmaker Richard P. Crafted in the iconic Art Nouveau aesthetic, this vase features a vibrant cobalt-blue ground with a lustrous iridescent sheen. It is brilliantly decorated with contrasting iridescent stylized leaves (heart-shaped lily pads) and delicate trailing vines that wrap fluidly around the body. Finished with a classic, gently crimped/scalloped rim and a flared pedestal foot. Maker: Okra Glass (England). Era: Early Production (1980s). Technique: Hand-blown iridescent glass with pulled leaf and vine trail decoration. Markings: Fully hand-signed and etched on the base with the authentic Okra maker details/numbers. An eye-catching floral vase by Shelton studio pottery. This is a large vase with equally large and dramatic blue clematis floral decorations covering it. The decoration was hand painted by Valerie Shelton who has signed it on the base, whilst the pot itself was thrown and made by her husband Ken Shelton. The blue flowers feature hints of pink with yellow centres and are surrounded by green leaves. The dynamic brush strokes give it a real sense of life and movement. This vase would brighten up any room and is a stunning piece of craftmanship. This is a vintage item and so may show signs of its previous life. Overall the vase is in excellent condition with no obvious chips, cracks or crazing. It is approximately 30cm in height and 15cm in diameter. The opening is approximately 6.5cm in diameter. This is an authentic hand-blown studio art glass vase crafted by British artist Siddy Langley, dated 2001. The vase has a small bulbous body that tapers up into a long, slender flared neck. The top half and neck feature a highly reflective metallic gold and blue-green iridescent lustre finish. The bottom half is decorated with horizontal swirling bands of cobalt blue and white over a pale aqua glass body. The bottom edge of the vase is hand-signed and dated by the artist, reading as Siddy Langley 2001. The base is designed with a stable, curved outer edge that allows it to stand securely. The center of the base features a recessed, unpolished pontil mark from the glassmaking process. Condition This is a pre-owned vintage item in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or deep scratches on the glass. The top rim is smooth and intact, and the indented base is clean and stable. Bold and highly sculptural vintage studio pottery vase featuring an architectural, Brutalist-inspired form. This statement ceramic piece is constructed with multiple tubular vessels joined together and accented with raised geometric and circular appliqué details, giving it a strong tactile and industrial-modern presence. Finished in a deep charcoal/black glaze with intentional raw clay exposure, the contrast highlights the hand-built nature and texture of the work. The form evokes modernist architectural shapes and organic structural elements often seen in mid-century and late 20th-century studio ceramics.
