Bernard Leach Etching (second edition) “Figure I A Rowing Boat” c1909. Facsimile signature to front. Image size 12.5cm x 15cm. Sheet size 25cm x 28cm Not framed. This is from the Leach / Redgrave editions of Bernard Leach Etchings and were produced after his death by his wife Janet Leach and Mary Redgravein the 1980s. Printed from Bernards original plates. This was a limited edition of 25 of each etching. The original plates were then donated to the Craft Study Center in 2008. This print is from that Leach Redgrave 2nd printing from the 1980s. A Large John Maltby Three Fishermen Sculpture. A good large highly textured Viking inspired boat with two seated totemic bearded fishermen holding nets. Oxidised and mounted on a wooden base. Signed and titled to the base, circa 2005. Just under 40cm (15.5 inches) tall and 26cm (10.25 inches) wide at the base. I have taken a very good look over the piece and cannot find any issues with it. A well proportioned example with a good tactile surface to the boat. Pictures are of the actual piece for sale.
