Katherine Pleydell- Bouverie flame decorated incised decorated vase. Produced by a revered potter whose work is highly collectible. Impressed KPB mark as photographed. Undamaged and free from any chips, cracks or repairs. There is a small burst glaze bubble just below the rim and a firing crack inside the footring, both minor issues caused during firing. Crazing to glaze which is expected and not unusual. Looking at the photographs the actual colour of this piece in natural light is a light blue and not as dark as it appears. Stoneware Bowl by Katherine Pleydell-Bouverie. Incised light decoration with a light brown ground and frothy cream decoration. The bowl is free from any chips cracks or repairs. The usual glaze numbers painted on the base together with Pleydell-Bouveries impressed mark. There is some glaze crazing noticeable on the underside which is fairly usual for her pieces. It’s not present on the front / well of the bowl. 17 cm in diameter.
