A stoneware vase, of ovoid form and flared rim. Painted signature to base. Identifying Marks / Makers Marks. Signed on the base, plus original gallery label. Age / date of manufacture. Most likely third quarter 20th century. Measures 5 1/4 (13cm) tall. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Has all over light, clean crazing to the glaze.

A very fine large open studio pottery vase by leading British potter Poh Chap Yeap. Painted signature to the underside. Rich black tenmoku glaze with yellow-green ash glaze splashes to two sides. Excellent condition, as new. Dimensions (approximate): 22cm x 28cm x 28cm. A first class example of this potter’s work and an unusually large example.
