This lovely 15 piece studio pottery coffee set was produced by Marcus (Marc) Goldberger who started Prima pottery in Folkestone Kent in 1967. This is handmade from natural red English clay with the base left unglazed to show to the material and character. This is becoming more and more popular and collectable. All 15 pieces are in excellent condition with no visible chips or cracks. A must for any studio pottery collector.

Here I have for sale a hand crafted glazed coffee set. Consisting of 6 cups, 6 saucers, milk jug, sugar bowl, coffee pot, all in excellent condition no chips cracks or crazing, please note this is a used item the saucers have slight scuffs due to the unglazed cups resting on them which is shown in the photograph. Approximate size coffee pot. 23cm spout to handle.

Coffee set consisting of 4 x cups & saucers, a milk jug, sugar bowl and coffee pot. There is minor damage to almost all of the pieces. This has not been helped by the material used being grogged and gritty which I’m sure is what the potter wanted to achieve but as with a lot of this type of pottery as the glaze wears the particles come loose and it is often described as rubbing or gritting on the surfaces. All of the pieces are marked with Gwyn Hansen-Piggott’s personal mark. The saucers are all undamaged as is one of the cups. Dealing with the measurements and the damage. Rim diameter 11 cm. Stand 5.7cm high. 3 cups minor fritting on one 2 with 1 chip on each & 1 good as photographed. Rim diameter 10 cm. 1 small chip as photographed. Stand 10.5 cm high. Rim diameter 9 cm. Fritting on rim as photographed. Stand 21.5 cm high. 3 x chips to lid & fritting (wear) on handle all as photographed.

Harry & May Davis Crowan studio pottery coffee set. Very rare to find such a complete set and in fabulous condition. Six pieces plus milk jug, sugar bowl and coffee pot and hot water jug. Most pieces are marked. Coffee cups 5cms tall so probably for espresso. Coffee pot 18cms tall. One saucer has faults to the foot but this looks like production issue rather than damage. Rare to find such a complete set in this condition.
