A Danish studio pottery vase produced by Gunver Bilde Sorensen. A stunning vase with a bright blue glaze which drips down and slightly over the edge of the base, featuring a part raised, part stamped decorative panel on each side. Similar in style to the stoneware vases produced by Carl Harry Stalhane for Rorstrand, Sweden. Identifying Marks / Makers Marks. Signed on the base “Bilde” (incised). Age / date of manufacture. Bilde Sorensen lived from 1930 to 2018. I do not know what date this piece is. Measures 6 1/4″ (16cm) tall and is 4 5/8″ (just under 12cm) by 3 7/8 (just under 10cm) in diameter across the top. The vase is elliptical in shape. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Has all over light, clean crazing to the glaze.
