A really excellent large studio pottery vase by the late, great Phil Rogers. Layered high-silica nuka glazes over a high-iron slip. Excellent condition, as new. Phil’s impressed potter’s mark to the foot. Dimensions (approximate): 33cm x 15cm 15cm. A really classic example of a mid-2000s Phil Rogers bottle vase. Wonderfully dynamic decoration but above all the glaze quality is first rate. Considerable variations and presents differently depending on which side is on display.

Phil Rogers studio pottery Tenmoko glaze finger wipe bottle vase. This is a classic signature piece by Phil Rogers. Although the glaze has pooled into the potters mark no one could mistake this as being by anyone other than Phil Rogers. This piece is very similar in spirit to the pot pictured being held by the Rev. Richard Cole in November/December 2015 issue of Ceramic Review (page 48/9). Similar pots can also be found on the Goldmark Gallerys website. NOTE: The pot offered is monumental being 36cms high and the price very good for a piece of this scale. 27cms diameter, 36cms high.
