A beautiful stoneware vase created in London by a master potter who has been potting for over 4 decades. Impressed C mark together with another impressed’bramble bush’ mark in a square. He currently works with his daughter Freya Carter-Bramble teaching and making pottery in London. His work is collected and his sculptures of heads and figures as part of vases are highly sought after and valuable. This gorgeous vase is free from any chips, cracks or repairs. A hand-thrown studio pottery bottle vase signed by the maker and dated 1996. The vase features a rounded bulbous body with a tall slender neck and is finished in a beautifully varied reduction-fired glaze. The glaze displays rich earthy tones ranging from warm brown to blush and smoky shades, with natural crackle patterns developed during the firing process. The underside bears the potter’s signature together with the date 1996. A striking piece of late 20th century studio pottery that works equally well as a decorative object or a sculptural vase.
