Large and striking vintage studio pottery floor vase with a tall cylindrical form and gently flared neck. Finished in a rich brown drip glaze with subtle tonal variation and an earthy, tactile surface. The scale and weight make this a strong decorative statement piece, ideal for floor display or large interiors. The form and glaze are consistent with mid to late 20th century Polish studio pottery production. Top rim diameter: approx. Widest body diameter: approx. Colour: Brown with darker drip glaze. Style: Studio pottery floor vase. Era: Late 20th century. Origin: Poland (retail label present, see note below). Vintage item may show signs of age, use, and manufacture consistent with studio pottery production. Overall very good vintage condition with no cracks or structural damage. Minor surface marks and glaze variations are present and should be considered part of the character of the piece. A paper retail label remains attached to the base, reading “Jasna Góra” with handwritten pricing and the Polish wording “Cena umowna” (meaning price negotiable). This is a retailer label, not a maker’s mark. The vase itself is unmarked, with no impressed, incised, or painted studio signature present. See photos for details and condition. This beautifully elegant Jane Hamlyn teapot is as good as the day it was finished. It stands 18cmH with the teapot itself standing 10.5cm tall (excl lid) and a base diameter also of 10.5cm. It is signed on the back JH. It is in her well known, typical style using simple, elegant form and subtle, natural salt glaze, featuring incised decoration and a distinctive loop handle. Her pieces are highly regarded for their craftsmanship and usability.
