A powerful and unusually complete Vallauris studio pottery drinks set, comprising one sculptural jug and six matching goblets, dating to the 1960s-1970s. The jug has a strong, architectural form with a generous pouring lip and confident handle, while the goblets echo its shape perfectly – flared rims, solid bases, and the same dramatic glaze language throughout. Finished in a classic Vallauris lava glaze: volcanic orange breaking through layers of charcoal, ash grey and foaming black. Each piece shows subtle variation from the kiln, but the set reads as one – unified, intentional, and visually striking. Stamped VALLAURIS to the base of the goblets and jug. This is a set made for presence rather than politeness. It belongs on a table where people talk, pour, and linger. Condition: Very good vintage condition throughout. No chips or cracks. Minor glaze pooling, firing marks, and variations consistent with studio pottery and entirely appropriate to the style. The Poet in Me Would Say. This set was born of fire, not fashion.
