An impressive original West Germany 517-45 floor vase, produced during the golden era of West German art pottery by Scheurich Keramik. Standing approximately 45 cm tall, this substantial ceramic vase features a wonderfully organic drip glaze in deep olive green, ivory and warm ochre tones, making it an exceptional statement piece for Mid-Century Modern, Organic Modern, Scandinavian and Wabi-Sabi interiors. Its understated earth-tone palette feels remarkably contemporary while remaining an authentic piece of 1970s German ceramic design. A highly decorative display piece equally suited to dried botanicals or as a sculptural object in its own right. Weight: 4.296 kg. No cracks, chips or repairs observed. There are age-related surface marks and light scuffs to the darker lower section consistent with decades of careful use and storage. Vintage / Possibly Antique Chinese Style Hulu Double Gourd Vase – Orange & Green Drip Glaze Pottery A beautiful and unusual hulu-form double-gourd vase with a warm orange/brown glaze and green drip-glaze details running down the body. The shape is inspired by the traditional Chinese Hulu / Wu Lou gourd form, which is associated with good fortune, health, prosperity and positive meaning in Chinese culture. This is a very decorative piece with a lovely organic glaze pattern. The colouring is especially attractive, with earthy orange tones, green glaze runs and a soft aged surface. RICHARD BATTERHAM Ash Green Studio Pottery Mug. In good condition but not perfect it is free from any major chips, cracks, repairs or renovation, but there is an’occlusion’ on the rim which shouldn’t be there (as photographed) and a tiny flea bite at the side of it again as photographed. Typical of one of Richard’s mugs in style, shape, glaze and colour. It measures 10cm in height and approximately 9cm in diameter around its midriff. I have reduced the asking price to compensate for the imperfections.
