Here is a very nice HAK Art Pottery vase. Made at the Herman A. Kahler factory in Naestved Denmark, t. He pottery Kähler Keramikværksted was founded in 1839 and was a family pottery until 1974. The pottery is signed with “HAK” after the son of the founder Herman August Kähler. Nils Kähler is from the last generation before the pottery closed. The upper part is unglazed and the body and lip are glazed in a deep transparent blue over an abstract herringbone pattern. Measures 9 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. Marked with the hand incised HAK shopmark, Nils in script, and a die-stamped Denmark.
