A powerful and unusually complete Vallauris studio pottery drinks set, comprising one sculptural jug and six matching goblets, dating to the 1960s-1970s. The jug has a strong, architectural form with a generous pouring lip and confident handle, while the goblets echo its shape perfectly – flared rims, solid bases, and the same dramatic glaze language throughout. Finished in a classic Vallauris lava glaze: volcanic orange breaking through layers of charcoal, ash grey and foaming black. Each piece shows subtle variation from the kiln, but the set reads as one – unified, intentional, and visually striking. Stamped VALLAURIS to the base of the goblets and jug. This is a set made for presence rather than politeness. It belongs on a table where people talk, pour, and linger. Condition: Very good vintage condition throughout. No chips or cracks.
