Stunning Hand-Thrown Studio Art Pottery Vase – Macro-Crystalline Glaze (Signed) Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible piece of contemporary British studio art pottery. This elegant cylinder vase is a masterclass in ceramic chemistry, showcasing a technically challenging macro-crystalline glaze technique. Key Features & Glaze Details: Macro-Crystalline Formations: The lower half features exquisite, organic zinc-silicate crystal “blooms” that grew naturally inside the kiln during a meticulous, slow-cooling process. Dual Glaze Design: The top section features a striking pale celadon/sage green finish with a delicate, intentional network of fine crazing (crackle glaze), contrasted by a dramatic dark drip effect cascading down from the rim. Hand-Thrown & Signed: The base is unglazed, revealing the clean, high-quality clay body. It features an incised potter’s mark (a stylized asymmetric “K” or cross), identifying it as a unique, one-of-a-kind artisan piece rather than mass-produced factory ware. 25.5 cm (10 inches)Shape: Tall cylindrical silhouette with a flared rim, perfect for display or structural floral arrangements. Condition: Excellent vintage/contemporary condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The fine crackle network on the upper portion is entirely part of the artist’s intentional glaze design. (Please review all high-resolution photos to appreciate the unique crystallization details). A truly stunning addition for any collector of studio ceramics, crystalline glazes, or modern British art pottery. Will be packed incredibly securely with plenty of bubble wrap for safe transit.
