This Studio Pottery Stoneware Vase is a unique and handmade piece originating from England. The vase features a banded pattern in brown, orange, blue, and white colours, with the signature’CA’ marked to the base. Standing at 23.0cm tall with a diameter of 13.0cm, this piece embodies an Arts & Crafts/Mission Style, perfect for art and abstract themed rooms. Produced using pottery techniques by the renowned brand CA, this glazed vase is a vintage and collectible item for any pottery enthusiast. Height – 23.0cm. Diameter of the mouth – 5.0cm. Diameter of the stem – 4.5cm. Diameter of the body – 13.0cm. Diameter of the base – 7.0cm. Very good condition with no chips or cracks evident. For sale is a stunning premium vintage midcentury possibly West German studio art pottery vase. This piece features a distinct squat, four sided bulbous form resting elegantly on Four small corner feet. This vase features a spectacular multitoned glaze design. A rich, glossy turquoise and ocean blue ground is beautifully overlaid with sponged rust Brown/earth tones. Crucially, the shoulders feature rare, hand painted cream slip trail relief spiral decorations. The underside features hand incised markings etched directly into the raw clay prior to firing. The design/model shape number 16 is clearly incised in the centre. A cursive studio monogram/artist initial (resembling a stylised cursive S is located just below the number). Height: 4.5 inches approximately. The condition is excellent, collector grade vintage condition there are no chips, cracks, hairline fractures that I can see. A beautifully preserved pristine example.

Up for sale is a beautiful authentic piece of contemporary British studio pottery. This elegant vase is thrown from a heavily grogged clay body to withstand thermal shock, featuring a classic globular form with a distinctive ribbed collar at the rim. This piece would have been finished using traditional Raku reduction firing techniques. It showcases a stunning, earthy surface texture with dramatic smoky charcoal carbon trap markings (fire clouds) contrasting against subtle bronze, copper and orange undertones. It is clearly stamped with the artists definitive impressed W monogram on the unglazed base. This piece is in excellent vintage condition. No major cracks, restorations, or structural damage. Vintage John Bedding Studio Pottery Vase – Impressed JB Mark – Turquoise Globe Form – St Ives / Gaolyard Studios Beautiful hand-thrown British studio pottery vase, attributed to John Bedding b. 1947, associated with Gaolyard Studios and the St Ives pottery tradition in Cornwall. This substantial globular / bulbous vase features a rich, vibrant turquoise glaze with a highly textured, bubbly, and crazed surface effect – complete with attractive speckling, iron staining, and organic variations typical of studio reduction firing. The thick, lustrous glaze runs and pools beautifully, giving it a wonderful tactile quality and visual depth. Simple rolled rim and rounded base. Minor expected crazing and surface variations consistent with the firing process and age – adds to its handmade charm. A characterful and collectible piece of post-war British studio pottery.
