Featured here is an enchanting crystalline vase artisanally crafted by potter Phil Morgan of Seagrove, North Carolina. Using a unique glaze process, he expertly creates geometric bursts of pale lapis iridescence upon a mellow golden-brown base. Multiple color variations make this a fascinating piece. The vase quite spherical but has a light taper on the lower half and a tiny opening that could fit about one stem of flower. On the underside, the vase is signed by the craftsman himself, Phil Morgan, and dated 1988, so the piece is 31 years old. It is in fantastic condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is some raw shaping on the underside from the crafting process/stilt marks. This piece would be perfect for any art shelf under a direct light to shine its full potential and create gasps in any entryway. See pictures for closer detail.
