Approximately 15cm in height and 12 cm in diameter at its midriff. The base has the impressed makers mark of Muchelney Pottery and John Leach’s own impressed mark. It also has the number’89’ which presumably relates to the year 1989. Undamaged and free from any chips, cracks or repairs. The cost will vary from country to country from courier to courier and will depend upon weight and size of the parcel when packed. A super, wheel thrown individual piece; a sack vase from John. A ripe bellied form sitting proudly on a crisply turned foot. Johns personal and Muchelney seals. Simple but perfect, the matt and satin gloss blacks separated by the fiery white garter from the saggar firing. An exhibition piece with no faults. Provenance, Leach Pottery, St. Johns work is widely known and is found in the V&A and many serious collections. This is the individual and uncommon piece which will make a perfect addition to yours.
