Signed with the artist’s impressed seal mark near the foot rim, and signed again, by hand, while the clay was wet on the center bottom. Ikebana style vase features a modernist shape and fine semi-matte black glaze over a slightly pebble-textured surface. Mid-century modernist, Japanese style design. Circa 1980 – 1990’s. He has exhibited widely, received many important awards and his work is included in a number of collections and museums, including.
