This tall, slender teardrop shaped vessel has been beautifully decorated with a boldly incised Modernist portrait of a woman to opposing sides of the sleek clean-lined form. The stylish portrait appears atop an earthy toned flat matte underglaze which blends varying tones of golden yellow and umbre brown. Darkening to the recesses of the incised sgrafitto portraits adds superb definition to the design.
