Vintage retro 1960s 1970s, rare design and sought after Italian designer red orange glazed futuristic design abstract modernist studio pottery bowl vase worth the original sticker. Made by BERTONCELLO CERAMICHE SCHIAVON. Really fabulous unusual show price centre item that stands out. THERE IS A HAIRLINE MARK ON THE INSIDE I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHED THIS ITS VERY TINY AND NOT VERY NOTICEABLE BUT IT IS THERE. PLEASE HOWEVER MAKE YOUR OWN ASSESSMENTS OF THE ITEM FROM STUDYING THE PHOTOS. Preowned may show some signs of wear threw age however, no major chips, mostly in very good condition i found a tiny hair line in the centre, not noticeable on display what’s so ever but wanted to mention it. Please study photos as these will make up descriptions also thanks. I have taken many photos for you to zoom in on so that you can see exactly what you will receive. Sticker with makers mark BERTONCELLO ceramiche schiavan. 57cm measured around the widest part of the ball. Here we have a fab, unusual studio pottery chimney vase. I do not know much about this at all unfortunately, I would imagine it’s from the 60’s or 70’s, British, possibly Cornish. No makers marks but it’s a wonderful thing. It has a really unusual shape and style, quite space agey-ufo like. It has a washed white glaze with a pop of green which has been allowed to drip down creating a lovely abstract design. It has two chimneys which are all part of the main vase, not just added decoration, it has a spikey edge that is quite fish fin like and it stands on two rounded feet. A wonderful, unusual piece, perfect for an interior designer looking for an individual look. This would also make a nice addition to any mid century inspired home, or a collector of studio pottery. It measures approximately 12.5 inches by 4.5 inches by 3.75 inches weighing just under 1.5kg’s. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Anita Harris Art Pottery Unique Abstract Space Supernova X Large 11 Purse Vase. This fabulous hand made and hand painted art pottery vase was produced by the world renowned and highly collected Anita Harris Art Pottery studio in Stoke on Trent, England. It features a stunning design by Peter Harris depicting deep space and is a development of the Supernova range. The vase is hand painted with differing colours and glazes so that each vase is unique. This particular vase has the addition of hand painted (by Anita Harris) vibrant solar flares and suns as shown in close up. The vase uses the classic Anita Harris reactive glazes which interact violently against each other in the firing, producing an amazing finish. Surface crackling to the glaze occurs with the different expansion rates which, together with the hand painting, makes each vase unique. This particular vase is one of the largest Anita produces and is the magnificent and imposing 11 Purse shape. The antique effect of the glaze will remain for the life of the piece. “Pinging” will be heard, especially at dawn and dusk when large temperature changes can happen. A unique feature of the reactive glaze art pottery. The vase is signed to the base in gold by both Anita Harris and Peter Harris together with trial detailing. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Please refer to the. Attached photographs for confirmation of condition and colouring. Any bright white marks are as a result of light reflection. Size – 29cm (11.5 inches) in height and 29cm (11 inches) across.
