Up for sale is a beautiful authentic piece of contemporary British studio pottery. This elegant vase is thrown from a heavily grogged clay body to withstand thermal shock, featuring a classic globular form with a distinctive ribbed collar at the rim. This piece would have been finished using traditional Raku reduction firing techniques. It showcases a stunning, earthy surface texture with dramatic smoky charcoal carbon trap markings (fire clouds) contrasting against subtle bronze, copper and orange undertones. It is clearly stamped with the artists definitive impressed W monogram on the unglazed base. This piece is in excellent vintage condition. No major cracks, restorations, or structural damage.
