VINTAGE ADAM DWORSKI STUDIO POTTERY STYLIZED HORSE PLAQUE. A Lovely tile / plaque 1950s to 60s very fluid horse with impressed mark to the rear, it is about 8 and 1/2 inch long by 8 inch high no cracks, chips, repairs etc there is some crazing commiserate with age some missed glaze and paint and its not uniform but that is the joy of studio pottery, Thankyou for looking.

Bernard Howell Leach Studio Pottery Vase with Stylized Patterning. This stunning stoneware vase is of squat rounded shape standing on a narrow unglazed round foot and is decorated in think blue green glazes over brown with a shaped flat top rim and applied with abstract designs to two sides probably a branch with a hanging fruit. The design is picked out in tones of red and brown set against a white ground. The vase has similar brown patterning around the top rim and the glaze quality is simply superb and probably one of the finest examples of Bernard Leach work we have had the pleasure in offering. The vase has impressed BL seal mark along with a Leach Pottery mark and is also marked ENGLAND. Provenance: from the private collection of a gentleman. Height 8,5cm, Diameter 11,5cm. This is for a wonderful slab vessel circa 1970’s by Betty Feves, a leader in ceramic art. Taken from Wikipedia, Betty Feves (1918 – 1985) was an Oregon artist who helped shape the. Of clay as an expressive medium in the years following World War II. This female pioneers works in clay are found in the Smithsonian Institution, Portland Art Museum, The Henry Art Gallery and private collections. My strength as an artist is in my imagination, the ability to create, to bring ideas into form that will have an impact upon people, to make them aware of beauty and love in the simple things all around us: the clay, the rocks, the forests, the streams, the fields.
