A lovely example of a stoneware cylinder vase / brush pot by Claes Thell, Sweden, decorated to an abstract drip design. Signed and labelled to the base. Overall very good with no chips or cracks evident. Born in Väsby outside Höganäs, Thell started working with ceramics and experimenting with different glazes at the age of 15. After completing his schooling, he worked for three years at Höganäsbolaget’s Metallurgical Laboratory where he gained a basic knowledge in glaze technology. Subsequently, he established his own pottery workshop in Ödakkra. Height – 13.5cm. Diameter of the mouth – 8.7cm. Width of the base – 8.7cm. Where possible, we always try to combine multiple items, if safe to do so. We do use recycled packaging on occasion, boxes and bubble-wrap for example. Please contact me if you have any questions. This beautiful studio pottery cylinder vase is a unique piece created by artist Janne Fagerfaldt in Sweden. From a beautiful collection of porcelain at. Coscombe Fine Porcelain UK. He is well-known for his constant creativity and exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and patterns. Lindberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Stig Lindberg’s brilliant vase with a segmented shape, milky white glaze, and a Yellow linear decoration. She joined Gustavsberg in 1950 as a painter and worked there for over 40 years. She was part of the Nordic design tradition aiming for more beautiful everyday goods for everybody. Today her work is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Measures 23 cm high. Signed G and hand print for Gustavsberg Sweden; painters mark W for Karin Björquist. Condition: Excellent, no damages to the ceramic. Coscombe Fine Porcelain started as a private collection of figurines from the top porcelain houses in Denmark and Germany. A olive green vase with a glaze of large blue crystals designed by the contemporary Swedish artist Isak Isaksson in his own studio. The vase is 24 cm (9,6) high and in mint condition. Isak is one of the most well known contemporary ceramic artists in Sweden. Isak Isaksson was born in 1949 and is one of Sweden´s leading contemporary ceramic artists. Isak has become a master in throwing and a specially in glazing. Isak has been exhibit numerous of times all over the world and in 2019 he received the title of certified ceramic master the highest recognition in Swedish pottery. He is a master of the crystalline glazes which makes his artworks really unique. Isak is the only westerner who has received the Sen Hounzai Soshitsu Prize in Japan for his chawan.
