An Alan Wallwork white porcelain tri-form seed pod. Height: 4.25 inches. A wonderful piece, all the more attractive because of its diminutive size. These forms are often seen with chips to the tops of the fins, but this one is perfect. Marked with his “AW” signature. 1931 is one of the major handbuilders of the British studio pottery movement. His organic forms are instantly recognizable. This piece comes from my personal collection of studio pottery that has been accumulating for fifteen years.
