Jorge Wilmot studio pottery vase with a pleasing form and beautiful colors and glaze. This an exceptionally large piece. It measures 11″ tall and 21 1/2″ in circumference. Excellent condition-no chips, cracks, or repairs. It has a few glaze misses normal in the firing process. This piece is signed on the bottom “W”. It came from the estate of two erudite world travelers, collectors, and book editors who lived in Mexico City in the late 60’s and early 70’s. They had a fabulous collection of art, books, and Mexican folk art. This is a fine example of studio pottery from Mexico’s master ceramicist Jorge Wilmot.
