Marguerite Wildenhain Pond Farm Bud Or Flower Vase
This listing is for a very nice small flower or bud vase by Marguerite Wildenhain (1896 – 1985). The neck and rim are glazed in an olive green color which is glossy and has an attractive asymmetric fall to one side. The body is a speckled matt brown and has hints of throwing ribs. It is signed with the’Little Jug’ cypher and Pond Farm as well as in incised’M’ which stands for either Magnesium or Manganese in either the glaze or clay body. It is 4 5/8 inches High by 3 1/4 inches in Diameter. The previous owner obtained the vase in 1975 at Pond Farm where she studied under Wildenhain and David Stewart for two summers.
