William Pillin Vintage Vase Tall
William Pillin, Los Angeles, CA Born in 1910 (Ukraine) Lived and worked in Chicago and eventually moved to Los Angeles where he and his wife Polia set up an art pottery studio. He was responsible for shaping, glazing and firing the pieces. This undecorated vase is attributed to him as Polia typically painted delicate figures and animals on the pieces. This tall, lovely vase has a smooth, shiny surface with shades of soft blue and gray glazes blending together. There is gold threading thru the blue and gray at irregular intervals.
