Rose Cabat Feelie Pottery Vase-A Rare Early and Large Example
On offer is a very rare early example of Rose Cabat’s Feelie Pottery. The piece is among the largest she made, at 5 1/2″ in height and 5″ across. The opening at the top is comparatively large for a Feelie. The glaze is mossy green with turquoise sneaking through at the top and base. The underside is marked with an early signature, an R inside a C. There are several other inscribed marks, likely codes for her glaze and/or form. The vessel is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other problems to note. A very rare and fine early example from one of America’s greatest ceramic artists.
