Early Ephraim Faience Studio Art Pottery Primrose Vase Matte Green Yellow Buds
Early Ephraim Art Pottery Vase Description and Item Information Up for sale is this early Ephraim Faience art pottery vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This beautiful form is known as the Primrose vase. It is one of Ephraim’s most artistic designs, in my opinion, paying obvious homage to Grueby pottery. This pot has a lovely, slightly variegated matte green glaze, with yellow flower buds alternating with the broad leaves. This hand thrown piece is approximately 9 3/4 inches tall, with a maximum width of about 7 1/2 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 4 pounds 6.3 ounces. It would be a fine addition to an arts and crafts style interior. Identification This vase was made by Ephraim Faience Pottery of Wisconsin. This piece is marked beneath, as shown, EPHRAIM FAIENCE POTTERY. This mark was used in 1996 and 1997. The Primrose shape is pictured in the 1998 Ephraim catalog. Condition This vase looks great overall, with no chips or cracks. Terms of Sale 1. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
