Large Winchcombe Vase C1935 Almost Certainly By Michael Cardew (1901-83)
An exceptionally rare opportunity to own a piece by Michael Cardew. The vase was made at Winchcombe and was fired in the old bottle kiln which was last used in 1954. There are two marks on the vase but they are hidden in the glaze. The Winchcombe mark is photographed but the second and probably a Michael Cardew Mark is very hard to see. The vase is in fabulous condition and stands 13 inches tall. The vase came from a lifelong Winchcombe collector who lived in Winchcombe and knew many of the potters there. Any questions please ask.
