1932 Art Deco William Howson Taylor Signed Ruskin Studio Art Pottery Green Vase
Here for sale is a Ruskin art pottery vase. Glazed with shades of green, it is a stunning piece in superb display condition. With an incised William. Taylor signature mark to its base, along with the impressed RUSKIN mark and the date mark 1932. It is a good size, measuring 8.25 inches in height and a little over 6 inches at its widest point. It is a fraction under 1.6 kilo’s in weight. Absolutely no damage or repairs / restoration. It is free from chips, cracks, unsightly scratches / scuffs… And there is no crazing. Mentioned for accuracy are some completely normal firing flaws, these miniscule glaze reactions are predominantly where the glaze meets the footrim (see the final close up picture for an example) These are firing blebs, obvious when viewed through a strong magnification loop. The pictures were taken with a camera flash on and whilst they give a fairly accurate representation of the vase, they are a little misleading, in so much as the glaze near the top of the vase does not contain any black shades. More pictures can be supplied, simply message me and I will respond within 24 hours. Please ignore the many light reflections / white spots.
