A Matthew Blakely Squat Pod Form. An attractive and chunky thrown squat pod with a narrow torn rim. Covered in a very thick swirling mix of celadon and blue slip and glaze. An excellent example of his early iced forms. Impressed maker’s mark to one side. Dimensions are approx 25cm (10 inches) high and 28cm (11 inches) wide. In excellent overall condition with no observable damage or restoration. Pictures are of the actual piece for sale.
