Marmorstein Art Pottery Vase Early 20th Century Crackled Iridescent Glaze 11.5. Large art pottery vase is signed & numbered by Heinrich (Henry) Marmorstein who produced many pieces in the 1920’s and beyond. Gorgeous rose gold tapered vase in very good condition with no chips, cracks or dings. There is some normal crazing on the white base & inside & you will see a few small dimples & tiny pimples from the firing/manufacturing process. Measures 11.5″ tall, base is 6″ diameter & top opening is 3 in diameter. The artist, who early on worked at the Pickard Group, moved on to operate Marmorstein’s Art Decorating Studio in Chicago from 1909 – 1931. He experimented with a variety of lustre glazes and decorations. In 1931 he applied for & received a patent for his unique gold veining technique to produce his signature style.
