David Leach for Leach pottery decorative vase. Bernard Leach Interest
Compressed Ovoid form with a collar rim, painted with a band of concentric circles in tenmoku over blue on a speckled ash glaze to the foot. Impressed David Leach and St Ives Leach pottery seals which dates the piece pre 1955 and makes it more collectable and rare. The design is known as a horse eye and was inspired by an old seto ware dish. This pot is comparable to examples made in the 1950’s for the Elmhirst’s who owned Dartington and were close associates and sponsors of Bernard Leach. The cost will vary from country to country from courier to courier and will depend upon weight and size of the parcel when packed. Thank you for looking at my items which will be updated regularly.
