Alexander Lauder Barum Pottery Pair Of Large Vases 38cm Circa 1910
A Magnificent Pair of Large Vases by Alexander Lauder (1836 – 1921) of Barum Pottery, Circa 1900. Standing an impressive 38cm tall these are in very good condition, with only points to mention; a chip to the glaze underneath the base and a couple of pin-pricks where the glaze hasn’t covered. Please also see close up photos of horizontal skim lines of the brown glaze in case you think they are cracks! Otherwise, these are a symphony of incised and slip decoration of birds amongst tulips, in colours of green, blue and turquoise, on a dark blue ground. There is an attractive contrasting light turquoise blue glaze to the inner lining. Rare to find a pair in such good condition! Will be packed with care!
