Superb Vintage 1970s Porcelain Studio Pottery Vase & Bowl by Peter Guggenbuhler
2 superb pieces of German hand made cast porcelain studio pottery by renowned German ceramic artist Peter Guggenbuhler (1927 – 2006). Guggenbuhler worked in Altenkunstadt in Germany, he named his studio “The Workshop” (Die Werkstatt), hence the W mark. The pieces are in fantastic condition, no chips, cracks or visible wear, & date from the 1970s. Exquisite quality and visually delightful in shape, form & colour. Both pieces carry the makers mark on the base. One piece also carries a retailers foil label, Tegelaers, Monchengladbach, a high end retailer of crystal and porcelain from the late 1950s to 2014. The vase is 16.5cm tall, 14cm wide and 9cm deep, the neck rim is 3.5cm diameter, it weighs 620g. The bowl is 13.5cm diamater at the rim, 8cm diameter base and 7.5cm tall, it weighs 281g. Total unpacked weight of the 2 pieces is just over 900g. These really are fantastic quality pieces of studio pottery and are ideal statement or feature decor pieces.
