Rare Huge Essie Zareh Baijan Red Pronged Abstract Studio Art Glass Vase
Rare Huge Essie Zareh Baijan Red Pronged Abstract Studio Art Glass Vase. This fabulous art glass sculpural design piece or abstract vase is a fantastic example of artist Essie Zareh’s work in glass. Created in Azerbaijan using traditional Russian glassmaking techniques, Zareh aims to create his works in ways as closely as possible to the Russian Glassmakers of the 18th Century. This piece, as most of Zareh’s pieces are, is impressively large for hand blown glass, using multilayers of opaque and translucent glass in vibrant colours he creates abstract shapes and patterns that when put together make for striking Avant Garde pieces of design. This piece is no exception and standing at 17.5 inches tall it is especially impactful. It’s dramatic size and unusual shape featuring large pointed prongs contrasting against its otherwise rounded appearance, stunning sunset colours in ribbons and waves over stark red Opaline as well as the artists expression of cultural admiration, make this extraordinary statement piece the perfect one of a kind addition and talking point in any collection or display. 44cm in height, 18cm wide at widest point. Useable opening diameter is 3.5cm. Official pattern sizes are 17.2 inches tall by 7.5 inches wide, though obviously due to the Individual nature of these works they can vary from piece to piece.
