Cranbrook Pottery Cobalt Blue Glaze Stoneware Double Handled Bowl-Vase 1920-30’s
After we won this piece the family that donated it told us it was by a very famous Art Potter, who had spent time in NY, was from Finland, but as they inherited that and many more pieces from their Grand Mother, that was most of what they remembered, until Monday nights Antique Roadshow my wife were watching and saw a piece that showed like ours, smaller, no handles, browns & greens, but David Rago explained to the guy what it was, we did some research this morning on google & sure enough our piece is a Cranbrook, done by Maija Grotal, or possibly Florence Chang, only bigger, classier, much better and way more beautiful Cobalt Glaze, so up dating everything, including the price as well! As usual adult/respectful offers are accepted, insults not so much! Measures: 8.5 inches tall, 7.5 inches deep, 7.75 inches wide, 4 inches at top/mouth/opening, down to a slightly rolled under base rim of 4 inches.
