STEVE HARRISON British Studio Art Pottery Blue Salt-glazed Signed Vase
STEVE HARRISON British Studio Art Pottery Blue Salt-glazed Vase Signed & Dated 2001. Steve Harrison is regarded as one of Britain’s finest contemporary potters. Trained at The Royal Academy Schools, he produces the most beautifully formed salt glaze work. He won the Queensbury Hunt Tableware award in 1991 and the Acme Malls award for work in the Victoria and Albert Museum Ceramics Contemporaries exhibition in 1996. He has also been a visiting lecturer in ceramics at Camberwell, Kent & Middlesex Universities. More examples of his wonderful work can be found at Primavera Gallery. This is a beautifully formed salt-glaze stoneware vase in blue glaze by Steve Harrison with his very rare impressed mark and dated 2001. 11cm high, 9cm widest. It is in very good, original condition. Traces of kiln particles near the makers mark and a glaze crawl near the base rim, occurred in the firing and does not detract from its true beauty. Please refer to close-up pictures to assess glaze effects and condition as this forms part of the description.
