Oxford Ceramics Gallery Presents. A Rare Butter Dish by Dame Lucie Rie c1950s. Stoneware with a black manganese glaze and white underneath. Probably made as a special commision. Potters seal to base (LR). 17.5 cm diam & 3.5 cm high. Condition note: in the past has had some proffesional restortion to the rim – see photo’s, also very small chip to the side.
