Monumental And Stunning Gabriele Koch Vase
A magnificent and monumental vase made by Gabriele Koch. Coil-built, smoke-fired and burnished. This is one of the finest examples of her work I have seen with a gorgeous burnished red and black surface, with subtle tones blending into one another. The vase is very similar in shape, size and colour to the one illustrated in Tony Birks’ book on Gabriele Koch that is owned by Sir David Attenborough (see last photo). The vase is beautifully proportioned and balanced. It sits perfectly on a small base (which GK has signed) only 2 inches across. Size: Approx 17″ wide by 15″ high. Intact and as new condition. The item “MONUMENTAL AND STUNNING GABRIELE KOCH VASE” is in sale since Monday, August 5, 2019. This item is in the category “Pottery, Porcelain & Glass\Pottery\Studio”. The seller is “chiltern_antiquities” and is located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. This item can’t be shipped, the buyer must pick up the item.
