Jim Malone at Ainstable Studio Pottery 4 x tankards 10 cms High
Jim Malone at Ainstable Studio Pottery 4 x decorative tankards 10 cms high. Initially I believed these four tankards were in pristine, perfect condition. On close inspection there are some tiny flea bites on the handles of three of them. They are not noticeable particularly because of the glaze and decoration but have been priced accordingly. The four tankards measure 10 cms in height and approximately 7 cms in diameter. They are all slightly different in their decoration but all are decorated with a speckled tenmoku glaze with a lighter coloured glaze starting on the rim moving downwards. The four are clearly a set and as can be seen in the photographs they bear the stamps impressed under the handle of each pot of’JM’ and’A’ for Ainstable. The stamps are clearer on some pots than others as some have been partially covered with glaze. One in particular is very clear (photograph 10) and using this it is easy to identify the other partially covered marks. If anyone needs additional photographs then if you message me I will do my best to accommodate. The tankards appear in good condition with no visible repairs, cracks or chips other than the aforementioned’flea bites’. Thank you for looking at my items which will be updated regularly.
