Takatori-yaki Studio Stoneware Vase Japan. With Original Signed Wooden Box (Kiribako). A beautifully hand-crafted Takatori-yaki studio pottery vase from Japan, complete with its original signed wooden kiribako. Takatori ware originates from Fukuoka Prefecture and is admired for its elegant forms, refined stoneware bodies, and expressive ash-glaze surfaces. The form is classic and well-balanced, with a rounded shoulder and a narrow neck suited for floral arrangements or interior display. The underside carries the impressed kiln/potter mark (taka) – the character used in many Takatori workshop stamps. The wooden box is brush-signed on the lid, identifying the piece as a (kabin / vase) together with the potter’s signature and seal.
