Anthony Stern Collared British Studio Glass Sculptural Pair Candles Holders. 19.5 cm Tall. Size about Very Minor light scratches to base. Very Good Used Condition.
This is an excellent example of John Dunn’s lovely raku work, with a bright orange tinged and irridescent crackle glaze on the interior and a subtle patterning on the underside. The bowl is signed on the underside in gilt by the potter.
The vase is finished in a celadon glaze with highlights of ash glaze (Nuka). It has a strong Japanese feel. The vase is signed with the potter’s impressed stamp. He then attended Craft Council’s Pottery Skills Course in Republic Ireland where he trained for a further two years.

More research is required to identify the potter but the work is quite like that by Jill Crowley. They are very quirky & fun..
