A Studio Pottery Stoneware wine goblet by Laurence Mcgowan with brush painted swimming fish – signed to the base with the date mark for 2002.
Stoneware bowl covered with green ash glaze with incised & combed decoration by Phil Rogers. 21 cm diameter 6 cm in height. The bowl is free from damage and has no chips, cracks, repairs or renovation. Very clear, impressed mark for Phil Rogers just above the foot ring as shown in photograph.
She worked at Terrybaun Pottery in Ireland, making slip trailed earthenware and then studied under Mick Casson and Victor Margrie on the Studio Pottery Course at Harrow College of Art, in London (1970-72).
This is a stunning vase by Andrew Palin. This is a RARE piece as I believe Andrew Palin is sadly no longer producing pottery.
Weight about Otherwise it is in good condition. Have a small chip to the inside rim (see photo 9).
